We had been wanting to take Skylar to the state fair for a long time now so we were so happy when we found out it was finally in town!! We enjoyed the typical fair food complete with pizza and funnel cake!! YUM! Skylar got to see the animals at the petting zoo and we even got to witness our first tractor pull. I must say my favorite part of the night was the "quarter game." I know everyone remembers the game where you put your quarter in the machine in order to move the other quarters/bills in the hopes that it will fall out of the bottom and you will amazingly leave the fair with all this cash. Yes, Dave and I were victims of this game!! Ugh, but it looked so easy in hindsight!! You live and you learn! At the end of the evening, Dave took Skylar on the big slide and she LOVED it.
