ALMOST THE WEEKEND........

CATCH UP SESSION WITH MELISSA

Melissa was in town from Texas for a few weeks so we got together for a fun dinner at Don Pablos.  It was so good to see her and catch up.  I miss her terribly, but know she is thriving in Texas.  It was good to see you, little lady!  Miss you!

Look what Melissa brought me.........a picture of Dave and I from our 12th grade Homecoming.  We were just friends at that time, but had a blast together at the dance.  So funny!!  I can't believe it has been 14 years!!  The time sure does fly by!

Skylar just had to wear the cool tie dye shirt she made at daycare last Friday.  It's so fun they do stuff like this for the kiddies!!

COASTAL FLATS AND THE CHOO CHOO TRAIN

Skylar and I were so excited on Saturday because Dave surprised us and took the day off.  We hadn't been to Tysons in awhile so we decided to drive down there and have a nice lunch at Coastal Flats and take Sparky on the choo choo!!  Here are a few pics from the day:

COOKING CLUB!

As many of you know, I LOVE LOVE LOVE to bake, but am not much of a cook.  Because of that, I was so excited when my neighbor, Stephanie, asked if I would be interested in forming a cooking club with her.  Our first task was steak cognac, salad with a homemade dressing and blueberry crisp for dessert.  The meal turned out pretty well and it felt so good to finally prepare a home cooked meal.  Hopefully, I can use these skills to prepare yummy meals for Dave and Skylar.  Stay tuned for the next meeting.  You never know what might be next on the menu.  Watch out Martha Stewart!! :-)  Here we come!!

Today was a sad sad day in the Bahr household because it was our last dinner with Adam and Jen before they head back to Rhode Island to start their new life together.  We promised this was not a "goodbye" dinner, but "see you later."  We couldn't have asked for nicer, more trustworthy friends and we are truly going to miss their presence.  We wish you both the best of luck and look forward to our upcoming annual trips.  "See you later" for now our friends!!
