LINDSAY'S BRIDAL SHOWER

I hosted Lindsay's bridal shower today at the Tidewater Colony Clubhouse in Annapolis. Lindsay and Sean are getting married in North Carolina on the beach on May 2 so I opted for a beach-themed shower.

Hershey's beach-wrapped candy bars with Lindsay and Sean's names as party favors.
The best part - the mighty dessert table - it included cake, red velvet cupcakes, dark chocolate almonds, brownies, and seashell cookies.
I got Lindsay's cake from a place across the Bay Bridge called 'Peace of Cake'. They also made mine and Dave's wedding cake. Lindsay's cake was chocolate with white chocolate filling and buttercream icing. The cake was also trimmed with white chocolate seashells and crushed up graham crackers to represent sand.
Lindsay is definitely loved by her friends and family. Look at all those gifts!
The food - sandwich platters, chips, queso, veggie platters, fruit platters, cheese, bbq, potato salad and dip. YUMMY!

LESLIE'S BABY SHOWER

My mom, Aunt Nancy, and I ventured down to Harrisonburg, VA for my cousin Matt's wife, Leslie's baby shower. She's due in a little over a month and is so adorable.

I was very excited because I won both baby games at the shower. The first game involved cutting a string and whoever came closest to estimating Leslie's waist size won. It's kind of mean to the mommy-to-be, but it was fun for everyone else. :-) The second game involved unscrambling baby words. The problem with winning 2 out of 2 baby games is your family automatically assumes you are ready for a baby. YIKES!
