It's that time of year again for our annual trip to Rodanthe, NC with my family. Dave and I flew back from Kansas on Sunday morning and drove straight down to the Outer Banks from the airport. We didn't waste any precious vacation time. It was an extremely relaxing vacation with my parents. We went to the beach all day, went out to dinner each night, took walks on the beach, and ate tons of food! That was the best part. Here are a few pictures from the trip:

Dave and our son - Sampson was so good at the beach and loved swimming in the ocean.

Day 1 was not so great for the old gams. My legs were torched and swollen from the sun. Maybe this will teach me to put suntan lotion on when I haven't been exposed to the sun in months. OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dave and I chowing down at Oceana Bistro "Attempted" family photo on the beach - As you can see, my dog doesn't like the camera.

Me and my boy - he finally looked at the camera!! YAY!!

Dave and I flew to Kansas over the weekend to spend time with Dave's family for his cousin Stephen's wedding. The bride was beautiful and we had a wonderful time with his family.

Dave and I took Sampson to a little park on the water across the Bay Bridge to watch the Annapolis fireworks this year. It enabled us to enjoy the fireworks without getting into the heavy crowds.

We went on the Annapolis fireworks cruise with Adam and Jen this year to enjoy the Sherwood Forest fireworks. Adam had to work on the 4th of July so we celebrated a day early. As always, we had a blast with these two. They are great people!

Earlier that day, we were able to spend some quality time with our nieces at Red Robin in Annapolis. They were in the area to see 'Toy Story'. They were looking super cute as always.
