ALL GOOD THINGS MUST COME TO AN END!

The time has come for our final day in Hawaii. We were so sad to leave, but still had a little time left before we had to be at the airport so we decided to make the most of it. We went to Duke's on the water for an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet.

Me (very excited to eat) at the buffet

Dave enjoying the buffet After breakfast, Dave decided to get in one more snorkeling session before we had to leave. I love how his mask matches his shorts. :-)
I also decided to make the most of my last few hours by going shopping again. Looks like we have another "UH OH"! What can I say - I was drowning in my sorrows since we had to leave this beautiful place.
Dave and I waiting for our taxi to pick us up and take us to the airport. We were both super sad to leave, but all good things must come to an end and we had the best 5 year anniversary ever!

'IT'S SUGAR' IN ATLANTIC CITY

Dave and I took the bus trip to Atlantic City for the day where we gambled, shopped, ate, and visited the greatest place on earth.........a candy store by the name of 'It's Sugar'!
As you can see, I was in pure heaven surrounded by a multitude of m&m's. I'm very proud to say that I took down more than a half pound of candy that day. :-) Yes folks, it was a good day!!!!

REDSKINS VS. TEXANS

We were soooooo close to beating the Houston Texans this past Sunday, but lost in overtime with a heartbreaking final score of 27-30. There's always next week. GO SKINS!!

FORT MCHENRY 5K TUNNEL RUN

Dave participated in the annual FortMcHenry 5k tunnel run and had an excellent time of a little over 22 minutes. Not bad for a 3.1 mile run.

ANNIE'S

I took my Aunt Nancy across the bridge this past weekend to Annie's for their famous cream of crab soup and crab cakes. It was delicious and awesome to spend time with her. Then, we ventured to the Queenstown Outlets for some serious shopping! It was tons of fun!

OUTER BANKS

It's that time of year again for our annual trip to Rodanthe, NC with my family. Dave and I flew back from Kansas on Sunday morning and drove straight down to the Outer Banks from the airport. We didn't waste any precious vacation time. It was an extremely relaxing vacation with my parents. We went to the beach all day, went out to dinner each night, took walks on the beach, and ate tons of food! That was the best part. Here are a few pictures from the trip:

Dave and our son - Sampson was so good at the beach and loved swimming in the ocean.

Day 1 was not so great for the old gams. My legs were torched and swollen from the sun. Maybe this will teach me to put suntan lotion on when I haven't been exposed to the sun in months. OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

Dave and I took Sampson to a little park on the water across the Bay Bridge to watch the Annapolis fireworks this year. It enabled us to enjoy the fireworks without getting into the heavy crowds.

ANNAPOLIS FIREWORKS CRUISE

We went on the Annapolis fireworks cruise with Adam and Jen this year to enjoy the Sherwood Forest fireworks. Adam had to work on the 4th of July so we celebrated a day early. As always, we had a blast with these two. They are great people!
